~~Wedding Updates/Changes~~

Hello everyone!! There has been a few recent and big changes in our wedding plans. As much as we loved Ambrosia...we have decided to cancel our reservation. With the economy being what it is currently, we have chosen to go a different and less expensive route. The funny thing is...I'm more excited now with the new choices we have made. Originally we were to be married and have our reception at Ambrosia...but now we are able to have the beautiful traditional church wedding I have always dreamed of. We will be wed at Trinity Episcopal Church, in Niles Michigan and the reception to follow, will be held at Bell Hall. Which is convienently located only two blocks north of the church. This is the hall we used when I threw Tracy's 40th birthday bash. It's a very beautiful place with lots of charm, with it's hard wood floors and antique mohagany bar. We already have several ideas in place to decorate it for our special day. Friends and family have been so understanding and extremely helpful with all our planning needs. We'd really like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts!!

~~~I've found my wedding dress~~~
On Friday April 10th, 2009...accompanied by my mother, mother-in-law to be and my oldest daughter Rachel, we arrived at Greta's Bridal Shop for my scheduled bridal appointment. We were prepared to shop til we dropped or until I found my dress. I had be searching for months and had no luck and was starting to get a bit nervous. Was a burlap sack in my future??
With a positive outlook and my loving entourage by my side, I tried on several dresses...and to my surprise found that not only was there one dress that I liked, but now I had several to choose from. Ultimately, I put my trust and the decision in their hands. They voted unanimously and I now have my dress!!!
I wish I could post a picture for you to see...but we can't have the groom seeing the dress before the big day...now can we??
Hugs and love to my mother, mother in law to be and my daugher Rachel for your love, support and the choice of such a beautiful dress. I definitely will feel like a princess on our wedding day!!
SECOND CHANCES
Falling in love can be a risky undertaking for sure. You put your heart and soul on the line, hoping ~ no....praying, that the person you are opening up to, will love you unconditionally and accept you for who you are....quirks and all.
How lucky am I? I found him...the one person that brings me laughter, contentment, security and devotion like no other could. The one that is my rock through difficult times...and my very own personal comedian when I need uplifting. The one who loves my children, as if they were his own.
Sometimes I find it hard to believe that I went through 36 years without him.
We are definitely two peas in a pod...and I don't think I could ever ask for a better man to share my life. On Saturday September 26th, 2009...I will marry my best friend.
Louie's Tux Shop
Louie's Tux Shop
Today, Tracy and I along with his son went to choose the tuxes. How exciting...things are really moving along. We originally planned on going with Men's Wearhouse, however Louie's Tux Shop gave us such an incredible deal we just couldn't pass it up.
I had registered for both tux shoppes, back when my friend Missy and I attended the Notre Dame Bridal Expo. Which was nice because it gave us some options. While at Louie's, Amanda our counsultant asked if we were going to take advantage of the free invitations through them....and since we weren't,
she offered us an additional $10 discount per tux and we were able to get one of the nicest tuxes with mirco fiber shirts at a discount of $40 off each tux.
All the tuxes are the same style and color however when it came to Tracy's tux we decided to go with black on black pinstripe so he can stand out, just like me. After all, it is his day too. lol
He was teasing me saying I can't see him in it until the wedding day...just like he can't see me. ha ha Actually I'm okay with that...I know he's going to look so handsome standing there when I come walking (running...dad you better try and keep up) down the isle.
Tracy originally wanted the guys to wear bow ties...but after consulting with his son, they chose the longer ties. Our color is "Claret" and Louie's had a red vest with a sharp design in black that matched it perfectly.
We're down to less than four months. I'm getting so excited!!!
WEDDING HAIRSTYLES
These are two hairstyles that I've narrowed down to. I'm really torn because I love both. I've had pretty much a split decision when polling friends and family on which they prefer. The only drawback to having my hair down, would be the chance that it would go flat. I plan on dancing the night away with my friends, family and husband...so I can't help but wonder if the updo is more practical. Ahhhh....decisions!!!
I'd love your inputs.
